CDPWS was Founded to: Establish a forum whereby common interests and concerns are discussed, thereby bringing about better communications among professional personnel; to create a voice on policy; to recommend guidelines and standards for chemical dependency facilities, programs, and personnel; to take whatever actions are deemed necessary to improve the effectiveness of work on behalf of the chemically dependent and their families. CDPWS is the Washington state affiliate of NAADAC.

The Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA) is a non-profit association dedicated to high standards for professionals who provide addiction counseling. National Children's Alliance provides training, support, technical assistance and leadership on a national level to local children’s and child advocacy centers and communities responding to reports of child abuse and neglect. Many people don’t realize it, but the numbers show that injuries are the leading cause of death for children and young adults through the first four decades of life. Each year, more than 29.5 million people are treated for injuries in an emergency room and more than 150, 000 die. Hospital emergency departments treat an average of 55 people for injuries every minute. An average of 33 children die every day because of preventable injuries. Injury treatment is the leading cause of medical spending for children. The estimated annual cost of unintentional child injuries in the United States is nearly $300 billion. It’s important to take action, because most injuries can be prevented. We’re taking action in Dallas.

Omaha Valley Hope's intensive outpatient program is held in a six-week format with sessions Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6-9 p.m. IOP participants receive group therapy, individual and family counseling, educational lectures, films and 12-step program work. Up to one year of continuing care is also provided. Other services available at the Omaha office include traditional outpatient, individual and group counseling, relapse prevention, assessments/evaluation services and continuing care. Office hours are from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday. Treatment services are covered by most insurance and managed care plans.

O’Neill Valley Hope is a 75-bed residential facility located in north central Nebraska some 110 miles north of Grand Island and just 40 miles from the South Dakota state line. Commercial air service is available from Grand Island or Norfolk. We provide residential, day or partial care, medically monitored detox, family and continuing care services. Professional staff also direct assessment/evaluation and outpatient counseling services. We opened our doors in O’Neill in 1977 and offer our treatment services in a relaxed, rural atmosphere. O’Neill is listed as one of "America's 100 Best Treatment Centers" and is accredited by JCAHO.

Our 50-bed facility in Norton provides residential, day or partial care, medically monitored detox, family and continuing care treatment services. Certified professional staff also do evaluations and assessments, relapse prevention, and outpatient counseling. Norton Valley Hope is located on Highway 36 in Northwest Kansas and offers semi-private, motel-like living in a quiet and relaxed rural atmosphere for patients. Norton Valley Hope was our first center and opened in August of 1967. Our treatment services are accredited by the JCAHO. Norton is listed as one of "America's 100 Best Treatment Centers."

Wichita Valley Hope (Valley Hope's Outpatient Treatment Center in Wichita) is located at 901 West Douglas Street and is easily accessible from Seneca, Broadway, I-135 and I-235. The intensive outpatient treatment program is offered Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
