KVC Behavioral HealthCare Nebraska, Inc. is a division of KVC Health Systems, a private not-for-profit organization providing a continuum of medical and behavioral healthcare, education and social services to children and families. KVC has established itself as a leading organization for human services across the state.
At KVC, we are committed to utilizing family-centered, culturally informed and evidence-based practices to heal children and their families. We currently provide care to children and families in five states – Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska and West Virginia – each with its own unique set of service offerings.
Children in Nebraska’s child welfare and office of juvenile services systems began to transition into KVC care Nov. 1, 2009, after several months of meetings and negotiations between KVC and the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). KVC was awarded contracts to serve the Eastern and Southeastern Service Areas of the state. KVC now serves 19 counties in southeast and eastern Nebraska and has offices in Omaha, Lincoln, Beatrice, Seward and Nebraska City.

We realize taking a new child into your home can seem like a cumbersome task, and you will most certainly face some challenges along the way. To more effectively prepare you for this experience, KVC provides foster and adoptive parents with training prior to becoming a licensed home, continuing education credits (CEUs) to stay up to date on licensure and ongoing support throughout the entire process.
