In 1946 the Akron Public Library sent its first bookmobile into Richfield Township. On location service was begun somewhat later in a sub-station in the Baptist Church. In 1950 the branch moved to rented space in the township Fellowship Hall. On July 1, 1956, the Akron Public Library and the township trustees signed a formal agreement for library service, and in March, 1960 the library moved into new quarters in the Town Hall.

The Alabama Theatre was built in 1927 by Paramount Studios as an Alabama showcase for Paramount films. It was used primarily as a movie palace for 55 years, with the exception of the annual Miss Alabama pagent and the weekly Mickey Mouse Club. In 1987, the owners of the facility declared bankruptcy and the theatre was purchased by Birmingham Landmarks Inc., a non-profit corporation. The new Alabama Theatre for the Performing Arts hosts many live events, as well as films. Each year the Theatre hosts over 300 events attended by a half million Birmingham area citizens.

Gebert Contemporary was founded in Santa Fe NM as Chiaroscuro Gallery in 2000 by the Gebert Family. The Scottsdale, Arizona gallery was founded the following year as Chiaroscuro Gallery and becoming Gebert Contemporary in 2008. The Santa Fe gallery became Gebert Contemporary in January 2007. The original Santa Fe location at 439 Camino del Monte Sol retains the name Chiaroscuro.

We believe that Saint Anna Catholic School is a great gift to the parishes and community of Leominster as well as to the Diocese of Worcester. St. Anna has been serving students in Leominster and neighboring towns for over 50 years. St. Anna School, with grades Pre-Kindergarten to 8, is part of the Catholic School Department of the Diocese of Worcester, Massachusetts. The idea of opening a parish school began shortly after World War II. Up until then, children of the parishioners of St. Anna Parish had enrolled in other parochial schools in the city of Leominster. Because of overcrowding conditions city-wide, the parochial schools were forced to limit their enrollment to the children of their own parishes.

In the fall of 1996 a preschool and daycare program, Guardians Angels, was opened in the St. Bernadette Parish Pastoral Center. There were approximately 25 children enrolled. Due to the enthusiastic interest of parishioners and families in the Metrowest area of the Worcester Diocese, it was determined that Guardian Angels would expand to include grades K-3. In the 1997-1998 academic year the school expanded further to include its present configuration of grades PK3-8 and two buildings were constructed to accommodate an enrollment of 500 students.

It is accredited by the The New England Association of Schools & Colleges. Saint Peter-Marian has a college preparatory program for approximately one thousand students in grades seven through twelve. The name Saint Peter-Marian comes from the two schools that formed it: Saint Peter's High School and Marian High School. There are four dates on the SPM seal. The year 1921 refers to the year in which Saint Peter's High School was established, on Main Street. St Peter's was a coeducational parish school operated by the Sisters of St. Joseph. The building is now occupied by St. Peter Central Catholic Elementary School.
