The Stratton VA Medical Center opened in 1951 and serves veterans in 22 counties of upstate New York, western Massachusetts and Vermont. The primary care program provides services at this facility as well as in 11 community-based outpatient clinics. Our office is staffed Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7:30 AM 6:30 PM; Tuesday, Thursday: 7:30 AM 8:00 PM; Saturday: 8:00 AM 1:00 PM; Sunday closed. We start seeing scheduled appointments at 9:00am and take our last appointment 30 minutes prior to closing. We block off time during the middle of the day for surgeries, procedures, and drop offs. Many of our clients like the convenience of dropping off their pet early in the morning; there is no extra charge for this service. Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination, vaccination assessment, and bloodwork. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. Valley Hope's 54-bed residential facility in Boonville is located 100 miles east of Kansas City or 25 miles west of Columbia on I-70 with commercial air service available from Columbia. The rolling hills of central Missouri provide the backdrop for our residential treatment offered in a cottage-style, semi-private living atmosphere on a wooded, eight-acre campus. Boonville Valley Hope treated its first patient in 1981.
