The Georgia Chapter is here to assist those affected by type 1 diabetes by offering one-to-one connections, providing useful resources, hosting educational programs and advancing the search for a cure with an active advocacy program. Through the success of our premier fundraising events including, Walk to Cure, Hope for a Cure Gala, Ride to Cure and Rock the Cure, the Georgia Chapter proudly raised over $4.6 million for diabetes research in 2009. The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is the leading charitable funder and advocate of type 1 (juvenile) diabetes research worldwide. Since our founding in 1970 by parents of children with type 1 diabetes our mission has remained constant, to find a cure.

Northside Hospital was the first community hospital in Georgia to be designated by the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) as a qualified site to perform unrelated donor allogeneic bone marrow transplants and the only community hospital with an award winning comprehensive adult BMT center in Georgia. Operating Hours - Club Hours Monday - Thursday 5:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Friday 5:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Sunday 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Pools close 30 minutes prior to club closing. When you become a member of the Piedmont Hospital Health and Fitness Club, you are guided through a private, comprehensive Personal Fitness Profile with an exercise physiologist. An exercise prescription is then developed based on your cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength/body composition, flexibility and, of course, personal goals. Piedmont Hospital Outpatient Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Programs include: experienced occupational therapists to help rehabilitate individuals with a variety of upper extremity and hand diagnoses, including traumatic hand or arm injuries, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, tendon lacerations and fractures of the hand, wrist and arm. In addition to rehabilitation treatment plans, we also offer education and training to help improve functional independence and prevent further injury.
