Every year, EID’s Sly Park Recreation Area and the District’s other recreation sites rank among the most popular destinations in northern California’s El Dorado County. Campers, hikers, boaters, anglers, equestrians, photographers, and all-around nature lovers enjoy Sly Park as well as EID facilities at Silver Lake, Oyster Creek, Caples Lake, and Forebay Reservoir. And once again our visitors voted Sly Park Recreation Area as the "Best Recreational Facility" in the 2009 Readers' Choice survey published by the Mountain Democrat. The District is proud to host the thousands of families and friends who visit our recreation sites. And we’re proud to serve our customers, who enjoy the high-quality water we deliver from Sly Park’s cool, clear Jenkinson Lake and from reservoirs at higher elevations that supply both drinking water and water to run our hydroelectric power generation facilities.

We are a small and friendly adult park located about a mile from downtown Zephyrhills. All of our sites are full hookups. We have both 30 and 50 amp service. For your convenience we have laundry facilities, nice clean bathrooms and showers, shuffleboard, horseshoes, on-site propane, and more.

This pristine mountain lake and adjacent Camp-Resort is enjoyed by county residents, the I-5 traveler, and destination tourists from near and far. Fed by five pure mountain streams, this 430 acre recreational and sailing lake, with a 10 mph speed limit, offers some of the best bass and trout fishing in Northern California. A Marina with a bait and tackle shop provides a free boat launch ramp, fishing dock, and fish clean station. Mooring slips, powered patio boats, fishing boats, and deluxe fishing boat are available for rent.

Kids, teens and adults with mild to severe physical and developmental disabilities come to Camp Paivika in the summer and winter for horseback riding, swimming, adaptive sports, campfires and cookouts, arts and crafts, performing arts and other enjoyable, enriched activities. With a sense of freedom inspired by time spent outdoors in natural surroundings, campers learn, develop new interests and confidence through guided play, social skills building and exploration. Opportunities for socialization are built into every program and activity. Many participants come to Camp Paivika year after year, making memories and forming lasting bonds of friendship with fellow campers and staff. Feliciana Retreat Center is 219 acres of beautiful pine and hardwood forest. The retreat center can sleep up to 170 guests in airconditioning. We offer motel style rooms, a log cabin, cottages, and a rustic camping area.The rustic area can sleep up to 88 guests.You will not run out of ways to stay active with our many recreational choices. We offer a rock climbing wall, zip line, an iceberg, an archery range, a challenge course, canoeing, paddle boating, a mud volleyball pit, and many more activities. Feliciana Retreat Center is owned and operated by the Presbytery of South Louisiana, but all groups are welcome. Our goal is to provide excellent facilities and lots to do in a Christian environment.
