Root canal (endodontic) treatment treats the soft inside tissue of the tooth known as pulp. During root canal treatment, an opening is made in the top of the tooth and the inflamed or infected pulp is carefully removed. The inside of the root canal is cleaned and shaped and then filled with a bio-compatible material and sealed. A temporary filling is placed until your dentist can place a crown on the tooth to prevent breakage and to restore it to full function. Pulp contains blood vessels, nerves, and connective tissue, and can become inflamed or infected due to decay or tooth damage. Left untreated, this can cause severe pain and lead to an abscess. Prior to his death caused by melanoma cancer, Mr. Lloyd established The Harry J. Lloyd Charitable Trust. In 2003, The Harry J. Lloyd Charitable Trust established a melanoma advisory committee to assist the seven trustees in identifying and reviewing melanoma research grant requests. In eight years, the trust has provided 70 melanoma research grants totaling more than $6.5 million.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common men's health problem characterized by the consistent inability to obtain or sustain an erection sufficient for sexual intercourse. It is estimated that 50% of the men between the ages of 40 and 70 have ED. It can involve a total inability to achieve an erection or ejaculation, an inconsistent ability to do so, or a tendency to sustain only very brief erections. Erectile dysfunction is also commonly referred to as impotence. The risk of erectile dysfunction increases markedly with age. Medical conditions that increase the risk for ED include: hypertension. diabetes. heart disease. elevated cholesterol or lipids. atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries). obesity, and other conditions that impair the blood flow or nerve supply to the penis. Physical exercise tends to lessen the risk. Smoking has been found to be detrimental to a man’s ability to obtain and sustain an erection.

At XRO we use a multi-disciplinary approach to our evaluation, treatment design, and treatment delivery for your diagnosis. Your case will be discussed by a team of physicians to ensure that your treatment plan is individualized and appropriate for you. Approximately 63, 000 people will be diagnosed with bladder cancer in the United States this year. Risk factors for bladder cancer include smoking, certain chemical exposures, and chronic bladder irritation such as bladder or kidney infections. Common symptoms of bladder cancer include blood in the urine (hematuria), painful or frequent urination, and pelvic or low back pain. Bladder cancer is often diagnosed with a cystoscopy where a urologist inserts a camera into the bladder and biopsies of suspicious areas are performed. Other diagnostic or staging studies may include a urinalysis and/or urine cytology examination and imaging studies such as a CT scan, PET scan, or Bone Scan to evaluate for metastatic disease.
