One of the deepest ports on the US East Coast, the Port of Morehead City is located just four miles from the Atlantic Ocean. The port handles both breakbulk and bulk cargo and is the second largest importer in the country for natural rubber. As a leading exporter of phosphate, the Port of Morehead City features a dry-bulk facility with a 225, 000-ton capacity warehouse and open dry-bulk storage. Access to Interstates 95 and 40 is available via U.S. Highways 70 and 17 as well as daily train service from Norfolk Southern. The Port of Morehead City continues to improve its facilities to meet customer needs. A 177, 000-square foot warehouse is available to house high value commodities such as paper, steel, and lumber. This warehouse features 29-foot ceilings and easy access to ocean berths.

Located on the Cape Fear River, the Port of Wilmington's general cargo terminal offers excellent service for bulk and breakbulk cargoes. The Port’s 42-foot channel allows customers additional vessel capacity. The Port has direct interstate access to Interstates 95 and 40 and daily train service from CSX Transportation. Wilmington is one of the few South Atlantic ports with readily available berths and storage areas for general cargo.The General Terminal is open Monday - Friday; The gate opens for check-in at 7:30 am; Gate check-in ends at 3:30 pm. Drivers must be checked-in by 3:30 pm in order to ensure service for that particular day.

The entire facilities at Southport Marina underwent extensive renovation and upgrades between 2006 and 2008, making this one of the largest and most amenity-laden marinas in North Carolina. Southport Marina is a "must see" destination while traversing the East coast waterways. Our location puts you within a day’s travel of Wrightsville Beach, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC. As well as with walking distance of downtown Southport, NC Conveniently located on the Intracoastal Waterway at mile 309, Marker 2A, the full service marina has over 200 in-water protected slips with deep water access, a floating dock house and a transient / fuel dock.
