Corinne Cooper was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She received her BA and JD degrees from the University of Arizona. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, and the Order of the Coif. After graduation, she practiced with the firm of Streich, Lang in Phoenix, Arizona, specializing in banking law. In 1982, she joined the faculty of UMKC School of Law, and taught contracts and commercial law for almost 20 years. She has been a visiting professor at the universities of Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Kansas, and Colorado. She was elected to membership in the ALI in 1994. She was named a Professor Emerita of Law in 2000.

The Des Moines Radio Group welcomes tours of our facilities. You can see up close how our radio stations work each day. You might even meet some of your favorite on-air personalities! We prefer tour groups to be at least high school age or older. We want tours to be informative, educational and fun, but we also want to make sure that the time spent at our stations is constructive. We have found that tours with younger kids doesn't benefit them to the fullest degree. (Special arrangements can be made for tours with a small group of younger visitors)

The SDSBVI provides a full academic program, kindergarten through high school, with special emphasis given to adapting teaching materials and teaching methods to meet the needs of visually impaired students. The curriculum blends academic coursework and practical skills to enable our students to attain maximum independence. We offer coursework in independent travel, Braille, activities of daily living, low vision utilization, use of specialized equipment, and preparation for employment. Each student has an IEP that addresses educational and social needs as well as disability-specific needs. The Functional Skills Program is designed for students with one or more additional handicapping conditions, this curriculum presents materials in small, sequential steps. Each individually designed program focuses on daily living and self-help skills, pre-vocational skills, functional academics, communication and social/leisure-time skills.
