The House of Ruth, Inc. is a grass roots, non-profit private corporation developed as a result of two years of planning by professional groups, service agency representatives and concerned citizens. The agency provides services to an eight country service area in Southeast Alabama: Barbour, Bullock, Coffee, Dale, Geneva, Henry, Houston and Pike. A statement of need and support from area law enforcement, District Attorneys, physicians, service agencies and individuals was all that was needed to initiate a funding base sufficient enough to rent the house and train volunteers for action.

These people have agreed to take online surveys from time to time, for no compensation whatsoever. They never know when they will be invited to take a survey, nor do they know the subject.

See "What have we done for you lately?" for donating over $1, 000 to IPump.org, Inc. And IOH's own "Miracle Four" (see sidebar) raised another $1, 000 for the JDRF in a Not a bad start. But not nearly enough.
