Lebanon Community Golf and Country Club, a semi-private, eighteen hole championship golf course located two miles west of Lebanon, Missouri and nine miles east of Bennett Spring State Park (great trout fishing) on State Highway 64 West. The Lake of the Ozarks, a vacation, fishing and boating destination, is only thirty miles north as well. For the last sixty years, the course has provided a challenging golf experience for players of all abilities. Salem Community Center offers programs and events for the entire family from all age ranges from babies to seniors. The Center offers numerous youth programs such as our Fit Kids wellness program to our wide range of sporting programs including soccer, basketball, volleyball, football, and softball in our state-of-the-art Center Circle Sports facility. American Red Cross learn to swim lessons begin at age 6 months and continues through private swimming lessons and competitive swimming with Salem Area Swimming, a USA Swimming affiliated club.

CHISCA continuously pursues “collaborative partnerships” to address problems associated with health disparities by bringing together representatives from various segments of the population to assist in implementing culturally appropriate solutions. The organization’s focus is to 1) decrease the number of individuals affected by health disparities 2) increase knowledge of symptoms, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of health disparities 3) provide community outreach and educational opportunities to targeted populations in order to reach goals and 4) promote collaboration, training, and consensus building among agencies to implement and develop documented best practices and ensure measurable results for data collection.

Glendale Community College was founded in 1927 to serve the needs of the people in the Glendale Union High School District which included La Crescenta, Glendale and Tujunga. The school was founded as Glendale Junior College and from 1927 to 1929 conducted classes in the buildings of Glendale Union High School at Broadway and Verdugo in the City of Glendale. In 1929 the junior college moved to the Harvard School plant of the Glendale Union High School District where it remained until 1937. The year before, in 1936, the Glendale Junior College District was dissolved as such and became a part of the new Glendale Unified School District. The name of the school was changed to Glendale College in 1944. On July 1, 1970 Glendale College became a part of the Glendale Junior College District. On April 20, 1971 the Board of Education adopted a resolution changing the District name to Glendale Community College District.

Democracy and the First Amendment: All people in a democracy have the right and responsibility to take part in the decisions that affect them and their communities. Freedom of speech is vital to a healthy democracy and is guaranteed in the First Amendment. CCTV provides the community with the opportunity for political, cultural, artistic, spiritual, and individual expression on television. Community Decision-making: Freedom of expression alone is not enough to ensure a healthy democracy. Citizens must also enter into active discussion and debate in order to participate in solving problems for the common good. CCTV promotes the use of non-commercial channels 21, 22 and 23 and production facilities as an electronic forum for discussing issues and solving problems.

As you approach our department, you will see our beautiful waiting room equipped with a fire place and large windows facing the East. This lovely waiting area is dedicated to Lorene Petrie for her trust's generous gift to our hospital. We have 5 spacious delivery suites, each contain a Jacuzzi tub and everything needed for labor delivery and post partum care of you and your new baby. In most cases, routine deliveries spend their whole stay in the same room. All of our post partum rooms are private. We encourage rooming in with your new baby. We encourage breast feeding and provide support. We will give you the information to make informed decisions about you and your baby's care.
