Chemeketa Dallas has served Polk County since 1976. About 1, 000 students per term attend this center. At Chemeketa Dallas we take pride in our personalized attention to students, providing most of the same services as the Salem campus. Office hours for fall term are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 7 pm and Friday 8:30 am to 1 pm. Durham Technical Community College is a charter member of the North Carolina Community College System. When the North Carolina General Assembly authorized a small appropriation to establish a limited number of area schools to be known as industrial education centers in 1957, Durham already had a vigorous program in adult education through the Vocational and Adult Education Department of the Durham City Schools. A Practical Nursing program had been established in 1948; other programs included training in mechanical drafting, architectural drafting, and electronics technology. In addition, literacy skills training was offered for adults. Courses to upgrade the skills of workers were also offered in a variety of trades.

One set of services involves testing for cardiac conditions. These tests include – Electrocardiogram (EKG) testing. Cardiac treadmill stress testing. Stress echocardiography. Clinic hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm . A doctor is available by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for patient concerns. Intradiscal Electrothermal Therapy (IDET) Is a procedure for disc-related pain in the lower back and/or legs. A thermal treatment with the Intradiscal Catheter is intended to treat the protein wall of your disc and reduce the volume of disc material that causes nerve irritation. IDET is a minimally invasive procedure. Most likely you will be able to go home the same day. The procedure involves a wire (the catheter) which is guided into your disc through a needle. Once in place, it is heated for about 15 minutes. Then the catheter and needle are removed and you will be sent back to recovery.
