AEC Animal Emergency Clinic South was founded by 15 veterinarians in 1976, we are celebrating our 30th year anniversary.

Thirty years ago, Robert and Ruth Householder along with 13 other veterinarians founded:

AEC, Animal Emergency Clinic South - the first animal emergency clinic in Miami, FL. The clinic was started out of a desire to provide and make available the highest level of care whether day or night to the community. Dr. Tom Householder comes from a family of veterinarians; both his mother and father are veterinarians, as well as his sister. All have their practices here in South Florida. So one can say it is in his blood, Tom cares deeply about the people, the patients and loves the work he has dedicated a lifetime to. He truly cares about your pets as his own, and understands that they are members of the family
