Dr. Cacioppo has treated patients in clinical practice since 2002. He offers General Neurology consulting Electromyogram (EMG) and Electroencephalogram (EEG) services to patients at Affinity Healthcare’s offices located at 1450 Busch Parkway, Buffalo Grove, IL. He has staff privileges at Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights.

His practice is open to both established Affinity Healthcare patients and patients affiliated with other medical group practices

Doctors of internal medicine, also commonly referred to as “internists” are specially educated and trained on the prevention and treatment of adult diseases. At least three of their seven or more years of medical school and postgraduate training are dedicated to learning how to prevent, diagnose, and treat disease that affect adults.

Your internist is expert in women’s and men’s health, substance abuse, mental health, and effective treatment of common problems of the eyes, ears, skin, nervous system, and reproductive organs. Equally important, they help you prevent disease and promote your good health.

The family physician evaluates each patient’s total health needs, and provides comprehensive care, utilizing knowledge of the patient in the context of his or her family to aid in the development of the treatment plan. Family physicians refer patients to leading specialists when warranted, and coordinate treatment with each physician to preserve the continuity of care. Like internists, family physicians also emphasize disease prevention and health promotion.
