Detailed description:

The original North Hill Branch Library opened on December 3, 1927 in a storefront and moved into its present location October 26, 1958. The 4, 800 square foot building cost $136, 000 for lot, building and equipment. The building was in use until July of 2003 when the branch was closed and the collection put in storage for a year in order to tear down the building and replace it with a new, 12, 000 square foot library on the same site. Our new building opened in July of 2004 and offers the community two meeting rooms, a significantly larger collection, and more computers for public use. Recently 22nd Annual North Hill Chamber of Commerce Property Beautification Award was presented to the North Hill Branch.
