At Alabama Artificial Limb & Orthopedic Service, Inc. (AAL&OS) we specialize in designing, fabricating, and fitting patients with high-quality, comfortable prosthesis.

In providing prosthetic services to our patients, we examine and evaluate his or her prosthetic needs, formulate the design, including selection of materials and componentry, make all necessary casts, measurements, and model modifications. Services also include static and dynamic alignments, evaluating the prosthesis on the patient, instructing the patient in its use, and working with the consulting physician along with other members of the rehab team and case managers.

Pedorthics is the design, manufacture, fit and/or modification of shoes and foot orthoses to alleviate foot problems caused by disease, overuse or injury.

Our wide selection of comfort and orthopedic footwear ranges from corrective shoes for children to adult therapeutic shoes for use as a basis for modification and attachment to various types of orthoses (braces). AAL&OS’s professional staff includes a certified/licensed pedorthist who is fully qualified to fit all types of shoe inserts and orthotics, including the special requirements for diabetic footwear. We carry the complete line of diabetic shoes, which now come in a wide variety of styles that will suit almost any lifestyle.
