ALAMO UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

We are a praying church not only praying for prayers and thankfulness on Sunday but also during the week.  We offer a caring and compassionate Prayer Ministry Service in both private and group settings. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 10:25, "Forsake not the assembling of the Saints." Being together we can encourage and uplift each other with our presence and also in the Lord's presence.

Based on this "Great Commission, " our United Methodist Church has stated its purpose: "The mission of the Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Local churches provide the most significant arena through which disciple-making occurs" (From The Book of Discipline of The United Methodist Church-2008, p. 87. This is a four-fold task, .We could abbreviate our mission as one of welcoming-worshiping-nurturing-sending.
