Immanuel Fontenelle offers short term and long term care options. Our philosophy of care, services and activities provided are built upon the principles of the Eden Alternative and Planetree. Eden's philosophy: aging is continuous stage of growth and development, rather than a period of decline. Eden encourages us to be creative in warding off loneliness, helplessness, and boredom, the plagues of the human spirit. We also partner with Planetree, a patient-centered approach to healthcare services.These collaborations have enhanced our efforts to nurture the body, mind and spirit of every resident, their family members and our staff. We are building upon the Alegent Health commitments of integrity, dignity and respect, responsibility, teamwork, compassion and responsiveness. The spiritual needs of our residents are met in a variety of ways. A full-time chaplain is available five days a week and an on-call chaplain is available on evenings and weekends.

Admission to Seasons Cove, the short term skilled nursing and rehabilitation unit, is based on the Medicare A standard of daily skilled need. This includes a need for IV medications, therapies, certain medical complexities, wound cares, etc. The length of stay is determined by a continued need for those services. Our community consists of four long term care neighborhoods serving 140 residents. One neighborhood is a secured, memory-support community focused on helping residents with dementia-related disorders maintain dignity and experience a maximum enjoyment in everyday life activities. Each neighborhood maintains consistent, dedicated staff to encourage positive relationships. The companionship and meaningful care provided supports the continued life journeys of our residents. When you or someone you care about needs 24-hour care in a warm, home-like environment, you can trust the senior healthcare providers at Immanuel Fontenelle. The nursing staff helps residents maintain the highest possible personal independence. In-house residents of Immanuel Fontenelle have rehabilitation and therapeutic services available to them. Therapy services are also available by physician order. Each room is tastefully furnished and equipped with private bathroom and cabling for TV. Residents are encouraged to make themselves at home with favorite personal belongings. Most rooms offer a view of courtyards or landscaped grounds. A secure, supportive environment and programming to achieve maximum independence is offered for people with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias. Staff are specially trained to care for people with memory loss - ensuring a calm environment that enhances the strengths of each individual. Our compassionate social services staff assists people with the transition into the healthcare center and facilitates discharge planning, locating community resources and funding for care needs.
