Dr. Alexander founded Alexander Equine Veterinary Services in 1997 in Hillsboro, Oregon. After 16 years at an equine hospital and surgery center in Texas, he relocated to the beautiful Pacific Northwest to open his own practice and be closer to the mountains, ocean and trees. The practice has grown to include two doctors and five support staff.

We realize that your horse is your partner and your friend. Our goal is to partner with you in the health maintenance of your horse throughout your time together. We serve the Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington areas providing compassionate, timely, clinically and cost effective equine veterinary care. We'll give you options for high quality, practical and cost effective care for routine maintenance, short term illness or a chronic condition. We offer 24 hour emergency service.Victor Alexander D.V.M. has been lifelong horseman and an equine practitioner since 1981. He came to Oregon in 1997 to start a practice after working in Texas at a three doctor equine hospital where they provided surgery, critical care and ambulatory care for a variety of horses and disciplines. His practice philosophy is to provide high quality, cost effective care for the horses and peace of mind for the owners. He regularly volunteers his time for public speaking and horse owner education.
