8 am to 5 pm . Anchorage Fracture & Orthopedic Clinic (AFOC), the largest orthopedic group in the state, was the first of its kind when it opened in 1969. Today, our clinic has 11 orthopedic surgeons and three physician assistants. More than 65 nurses, medical assistants, therapists, and administrative staff support our clinic physicians, who also comprise the AFOC Board of Directors. Many employees have been with the clinic for more than 10 years–some even over 30.

AFOC has been on the frontier of orthopedic medicine in Alaska since 1969 and is the state's only full service orthopedic clinic.

AFOC is the largest association of orthopedic doctors in the state. Our team of surgeons, nurses, physician assistants, therapists, and administrative staff hail from across Alaska, the lower 48 and as far away as Ireland.

AFOC doctors are also renowned research physicians who have achieved national recognition for their work in advancing the science of orthopedic medicine.

As Alaska’s only full-service orthopedic clinic, AFOC offers many in-house services for your convenience and benefit. Your physician, who is involved in every step of your treatment, may prescribe one of these services to diagnose or remedy your condition. Before initiating any of these services, your physician will discuss with you how the treatment works and how you can expect your body to respond.
