Short profile:

Troy Alberson graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 1996 with a master in physical therapy. Troy has extensive training in both the Foeldi and Vodder techniques of manual lymphatic drainage and compression bandaging. Troy has been certified through written examination by the Lymphology Association of North America and in the Vodder technique at the Foeldi Clinic in Hinterzarten Germany. Troy has studied the treatment of lymphedema throughout the United States and Germany. Troy has practiced and instructed the techniques of lymphedema since 1998. In 2005 Troy opened the first stand alone out patient lymphedema center in the state of Arkansas.

Our approach is holistic. Each patient is seen on an individual basis, giving them the maximum benefit of treatment geared specifically to his or her needs. Our primary objective is to facilitate an improvement in our patients' quality of life and help them return to a manageable living and working environment.

Detailed description:

Stacy Alberson graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy. In 2000, Stacy decided to make a change from adult OT treatments to pediatric therapy services in a privately owned hippotherapy center on the campus of Arkansas State University. She fell in love with this innovative therapy approach and began training through the North American Riding for the Handicap Association (NARHA) and the American Hippotherapy Association (AHA). Stacy is a NARHA Registered Therapist and a NARHA Registered Riding Instructor. In 2004, she became the Arkansas liaison for the American Hippotherapy Association. In August 2008, Stacy completed the facility dog/community access program through Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) in Oceanside, California and began using a skilled therapy dog in her OT treatments. Stacy has a passion for sensory integration therapy approaches and dedicates her annual training courses in this field as well as educates therapy centers who want to offer specialized hippotherapy services.

Stacy specializes in pediatric occupational therapy and offers sensory integration, therapeutic listening, hippotherapy, aquatic therapy and canine therapy treatment approaches
