AUGUSTINE LORETTO ANIMAL CLINIC Our philosophy is to provide the highest level of veterinary care in a gentle, caring environment and to make each visit as comfortable as possible. Augustine Loretto Animal Clinic is a full-service veterinary medical facility, located in Jacksonville, FL.

Anesthesia

For those procedures requiring anesthesia (surgery, dentistry, and sometimes radiology), we use inhalant isoflurane--a very safe and quick acting anesthetic. We monitor patients using pulse oximetry, which measures oxygen levels of the blood, heartrate, and just recently, blood pressure. The vast majority of our patients return home the same day as their procedure.

Boarding

We have separate climate controlled areas for canine and feline boarding facilities. We do require that boarding pets be up to date on their vaccinations (including Bordatella for the dogs). Boarders can be dropped off and picked up 6 days a week (see our hours of operation) Please be aware we do not have Sunday pick up or drop off. Our boarding information sheet is available for printing from this website---it will expedite your drop off if you can fill it out and bring it with you!

Laboratory

Our in - house lab is set up to do an extensive array of tests including fecal floatations, occult heartworm tests, urinalysis, blood CBC(complete blood count) and serum chemical analysis, feline leukemia and feline AIDS testing, Parvoviral testing. Additionally, we send out other necessary tests to an animal diagnostic lab which often has a 24 hour turn-around time for results which are faxed directly to our office.

Microchipping

Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery.
