Chowchilla Convalescent Hospital is located in the heart of central valley. Chowchilla is a peaceful community centered between Hwy 99 and Hwy 152, with no more than a twenty minute trip to either Madera or Merced for shopping convenience. Chowchilla Convalescent is tucked away from busy streets and has spacious grounds with lush greenery for a tranquil experience. Our 65 bed capacity allows for a more personalized experience coupled with more emphasis on individual quality care.

Our facility is a bright and cheerful place, offering a large living room where our residents can visit with their families in a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. Our community is family oriented and communication with families is a priority.

Chowchilla Convalescent has a dedicated staff that is eager to meet the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of our residents and their families. The facility offers a team of compassionate employees with expertise and experience in their specific fields to assist each resident in achieving his or her highest level of functional independence. Our comprehensive team of therapists is exceptional and innovative in their therapy approach. They, along with the physician, will design the most appropriate disciplines to increase the resident’s abilities.
