Backcountry is the second oldest brewpub in summit county. The property (site) Acquired in 1994 by the Mount Royal Brewing Company joined forces with our founding brewmaster and managing partner Anthony Carestia and construction of the Mount Royal Plaza quickly ensued.

Over our 14 year history the Backcountry has established itself as a sanctuary for Summit County visitors and locals longing for great brews, great food and great views. We take great pride in offering diverse ales, lagers and American pub fare. Enjoy!
