Short profile:
The Balance Center of Las Vegas is a full service outpatient physical therapy clinic that provides specialized physical therapy treatment to patients who experience problems with balance, dizziness and vertigo. We use a standardized patient intake process that consists of diagnostic testing, physical therapy, and the measuring, monitoring, and documenting of outcomes.
Therapy is considered a conservative treatment method addressing the treatment, healing, and prevention of injuries and disabilities. Therapists focus primarily, but not solely, on relieving pain, promoting healing, restoring function and movement, and facilitation and adaption associated with injury. Therapy also focuses on education, ergonomics or body mechanic training, and fitness and wellness.
Detailed description:
Our full service physical therapy clinic provides services for:
Ataxia, Disequilibrium, Fall Prevention, Dizziness/Vertigo, Work Related Injury Rehab, Pre & Post Operative Rehab, Spinal/Back Care Education & Rehab, Muscle Functionality, Outpatient Orthopedic Rehab, Orthotic Screening, Manual Therapy, Posture & Body Mechanics Education, TMJ Disorders, BPPV (Canal & Cupulothiasis), Stabilization of Meniere’s Disease.
Our goal is to find the source of your problem and successfully treat your particular deficits. The dizziness and loss of balance you may be experiencing are among the most difficult symptoms to understand and accurately assess.
We use state of the art technology to properly determine a patient’s vestibular issues, including:
Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP); Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential (VEMP); Oculography; Dynamic Visual Acuity Testing (DVAT); VORTEQ.
At The Balance Center of Las Vegas it is our mission to help restore our patients to their maximum functionality in a timely, efficient fashion. We believe that through a program if assessment, physical therapy treatment, and education, we can help our patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Many thousands of people suffer from dizziness, loss of balance, nausea and vertigo, as well as visual and hearing problems – all symptoms of vestibular disorders.
This damage can result from trauma such as a blow to the head or neck injury, a medical illness, or a neurological disorder such as Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, or stroke. The resultant symptoms can cause falls, which are the leading cause of emergency room visits for those over sixty-five years of age.
