In 1998, four Memphis physicians joined together to create what they envisioned would become a new benchmark of care for heart patients in the Mid-South. Almost a decade later, Memphis Heart Clinic has successfully grown to become a recognized leader in cardiac care. Our team of dedicated physicians has treated thousands of heart patients through an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Founded by Joseph K. Samaha, MD, FACC, FSCAI; William H. Flanagan, MD; David H. Kraus, MD, FACC, FACP; and Stevan I. Himmelstein, MD, FACC; Memphis Heart Clinic is now home to 16 cardiology specialists, many of whom have practiced in the Memphis area for over 25 years. Our physicians specialize in consultative and interventional cardiology; peripheral interventions of the carotids and legs; and electrophysiology. We are dedicated to providing the latest treatment in a caring environment.

In 2007, Memphis Heart Clinic received the National Committee on Quality Assurances’ (NCQA) highest award for providing quality patient care. Each of our physicians and their respective treatment teams is committed to providing the best clinical care available with the warmth of a human touch.
