BEACHMARK POOLS

Short profile:

Pool pumps are the work horse of the filtration system. A pool pump consists of two main parts, the pump housing and the motor. It used to be that pool pumps came in one speed with a set horsepower. Today's pumps are either the traditional single speed pump, a two speed pump or a variable speed pump.

A two speed pump spends most of the time operating at a lower horsepower, and then when necessary to power the spa jets or perhaps the pool cleaner it would be switched into the higher speed. Power savings is achieved at lower speeds.

Detailed description:

Whatever type of pump you may have, you can rest assured that Beachmark Pools is the most qualified company to service, repair and upgrade your pool pump.

Pool filters are a vital part of the pool equipment. There are three types of pool filters available for the swimming pool. The best type of filter available is the diatomaceous earth filter. These filters utilize a powder called diatomaceous earth or DE. The DE coats the internal grids of the filter, the water is pumped into the filter through the grids leaving virtually pure completely filtered water to return to the pool.

Cartridge filter utilize a pleated cartridge to filter the water. Cartridge filters generally should be reserved for smaller bodies of water such as a spa. While they do make cartridge filters in larger sizes for larger pools, the drawback to that is the cartridges become more costly to replace. Replacing the cartridge in your filter should be performed every six months to a year depending on the size of the filter, bather load etc. Of the three filters, cartridge filters rank in the middle.
