Psychology Today Dr Robert Berchick, Psychologist, Warminster, PA 18974, My primary orientation is Cognitive Therapy, however, I will use methods from other modalities when indicated I have been professionally associated with Aaron T Beck, M D the father of Cognitive Therapy since 1975 as a personal research assistant and clinical coordinator I eventually became the Clinical Director at the Center for Cognitive Therapy of the University of Pennsylvania and served at this position from the early 1980s through early 1990 I remain as a Senior Consultant to Dr Beck s group and continue to be a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine
