Learn to Sail Course - 2 sessions
Two-hour sailing lessons — 2 weeks in a row. Rob will teach you how to work the main sail and jib. You will learn how to tack and jibe, navigation basics and tide information. This sail is available one weekday evening a week. This is a group sail so you might make some new friends.
Six-Passenger Special
Grab a total of six friends and enjoy yourselves on the Hudson River for a 2-1/2 hour sail. This sail is available any weekday evening or anytime on the weekend. Feel free to bring your own food and drink or browse our menu. This is a private charter.
Group Sail
Have less than six people - no problem, this sail is for you. This is a group sail so you might make some new friends. Come and enjoy the Hudson River for a 2-1/2 hour sail. This sail is available any weekday evening or anytime on the weekend.
Private Sunset Sail for two
This sail is for those romantics out there – a two-person private sunset sail. This is a 2-1/2 hour sail and is available any evening. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink.

Our Sailing Cruises allow you to enjoy the beautiful Hudson River. The sunsets from the river are spectacular. We frequently see bald eagles, ducks, blue heron and many other birds. Or maybe you want to get in on the action by working the sails. At Black Swan Sailing you can start with a two-hour cruise, day cruise or two-day getaway. Our cruises are limited to six guests and we operate April thru October. We look forward to sharing a good day of sailing with you! If you would like food while on board we offer a selection from local merchants — The Circle W in Palenville, Irish Johns Grill in Saugerties and the El Rancho in Saugerties. For dessert we are proud to serve sweets from Take-A-Bite Creations in Saugerties. View our menu for all of the options we have to offer or feel free to bring your own food and drink.
