BOISE PAIN CARE CENTER

Short profile:

When first coming to Pain Care Boise, patients often have chronic, complicated, and long-standing pain-related problems. We realize that you may have been treated by a variety of doctors and therapists seeking help for your pain. We understand your frustration and desire for immediate relief. Our goal is to educate you about your pain diagnosis and the treatments available to provide you with the results and noticeable relief needed to improve your life.

There are two basic forms of physical pain: acute and chronic. Acute pain, for the most part, results from disease, inflammation, or injury to tissues. It is a normal response to injury and is usually immediate and of short duration. Chronic pain is pain that persists for more than 3 months, and long beyond the time of normal healing. It ranges from mild to severe and can last months, years or a lifetime.

Detailed description:

More than 50 million Americans—men, women and children—live with serious pain that interferes with their personal, social and work lives, as well as diminishing their overall quality of life. Although the medical expertise now exists to treat pain, most goes untreated or improperly treated. If you are a person with serious chronic pain, it is highly likely that you have been going from one healthcare provider to another seeking relief. And it is likely that you have been told, "nothing more can be done" or "you'll just have to live with it". We at Pain Care Boise will make sure you better understand your pain and provide effective options to help you find relief.

Prior to your treatment, Dr. Binegar or our Physician Extenders will thoroughly review your medical history and past diagnostic testing, followed by a thorough examination. During your examination we will fully explain the best possible treatment approach, and answer questions you may have. Since pain can be a complex and individual problem, the length and type of treatment varies from patient to patient.
