BUCKEYE PREP REPORT

Short profile:

As is the case with the magazine, we hope to provide the youth basketball fan with updated information about what's happening in the world of youth basketball in Ohio and the nation.

We hope you enjoy the information contained within this website. The Buckeye Prep Report has been a vision of Rob Taylor and Richard Crockett for several years. As a parents of sons who are very active in AAU basketball, we were always searching for information about younger kids and programs. Although there is a wealth of information about high school, college, and professional basketball from print media and the Internet, it is often difficult to find stories about elementary and middle school teams and players.

Detailed description:

Like the magazine, we hope this site continues to grow into the primary resource for youth basketball-related information. In addition to providing our readers with news and information about youth basketball, we also want to provide you with a forum to discuss the issues surrounding youth basketball today. We hope you enjoy the information on this website, and we welcome any feedback you may wish to provide.

While spending many long hours in basketball gyms across this state, and seeing most of the state’s elite athletes, we felt a need to document our observations and to share the information with other interested players, parents and basketball fans. What you will find in both the magazine and this website is unique, and represents uncharted territory in terms of print media and youth basketball.

In each issue of the Buckeye Prep Report , you the reader will find a wealth of information about youth basketball in the state of Ohio and the nation. We specialize in providing fresh and cutting-edge stories geared toward players and parents who enjoy select basketball. In addition to feature articles, the Buckeye Prep Report will provide player and team rankings, player profiles, interviews, event schedules and tournament results from all over the U.S., exclusively for the youth basketball fan.

There are many critics among us who question the relevance of ranking and providing exposure to young players in elementary and middle school. We here at the Buckeye Prep Report feel that early recognition is healthy and beneficial to player development, if used responsibly by parents, guardians, coaches as a motivational tool to assist young athletes in reaching their dreams.
