A key component of the Buffalo Medical Group’s affiliation with Kaleida Health is round-the-clock inpatient medical care provided by the BMG Hospitalist Division at Buffalo General and Millard Fillmore Suburban hospitals.

Hospitalists represent the fastest growing specialty in medicine today. The Buffalo Medical Group is proud to have been a leader in this field since the inception of our hospitalist program in 1999. The BMG hospitalist team consists of full-time board-certified physicians, who have the training, expertise and experience to deliver timely and comprehensive care, and help hospitalized patients cope with the complexities of today’s health care environment.

After a BMG primary care physician (PCP) arranges an inpatient admission, a hospitalist, in partnership with the PCP, assumes responsibility for the patient’s care. Throughout the hospitalization, the hospitalist maintains close contact with the PCP to keep him or her informed about the patient’s status.
