Short profile:

The Building Industry Association of Clark County is a trade association of more than 900 members representing the interests of all businesses involved in land development and construction. BIA members come from all sectors of the building trades including bankers, plumbers, electricians, attorneys, excavators, and of course, builders.

What We Do:

The BIA provides member companies with beneficial programs to grow their business:

ADVOCACY: Providing a voice before government.

EDUCATION: Developing a professional building industry.

PROMOTIONS: Marketing member services.

INSURANCE: Medical and Industrial insurance available.

Build The Vote is a nonpartisan program that uses a database to inform, activate and register building industry voters for important elections.

Any information given to Build The Vote remains strictly confidential and neither participation in the program nor any other information provided or acculumated will ever be shared with a third party.

What Does Participation Mean?

When you join Build The Vote, it simply means that you will receive our election mailings such as our voting information updates and endorsed candidates lists. If you enter a phone number, you may also be given a reminder call to vote.

The primary objective of BIA Legislative Advocacy is to provide issue advocacy before local governments on behalf of the building industry. The Government Affairs Committee directs the operations of the department.

Legislative advocacy includes reacting to rules and regulations pushed by local governments as well as sponsoring BIA policy initiatives. The amount of public policy that affects the building industry is tremendous; the key to successful advocacy is member involvement
