After harsh times due to the allegations that Burger King's promotional toys are potentially dangerous for children and financial difficulties, it was time for John Dasburg to step in and take control over the company. He took the step of making Burger King more vegetarian-friendly with the introduction of the first fast-food veggie burger, the BK Veggie. He then re-launched the BK Broiler under a new name - the Chicken Whopper.
