Detailed description:
The Burger King Kingdom evolved from a tiny fast food business in Jacksonville, Florida to a world-wide phenomenon. The original name designed for the restaurant chain was Insta-Burger King. After the business was sold to David Edgerton and James McLamore a new name was borned – Burger King. To improve the new achieved status of fast-food experts, the company’s leaders introduced “the face” of the company, the infamous Magical Burger King. The Burger Kingdoms’ King is an advertising mascot that appeared in numerous tv commercials. Under the company founders, Burger King faced a period of rapid growth. At the time, the whole idea behind the concept was simple: to attract families with juicy burgers served fast and at a reasonable price. McLamore and Edgerton gave Burger King a special edge, introducing dining rooms and a special, diversified menu. The menu included a big time favorite, the Whopper (a burger with sauce, pickles and cheese). During the late 1950s, Burger King took advantage of another expanding phenomenon - television. The first commercial aired in 1958 on the Miami, VHF station. In 1967 the company starts selling exclusive rights to large territories throughout the country. This system was blooming, allowing Burger King to expand in a rapid growth.
