A young, vibrant university, California State University, San Bernardino is one of the fastest growing universities in California, largely because of its expanding service area of San Bernardino and Riverside counties, which covers 27, 000 square miles - a territory larger than 10 states in the nation. More than 65, 000 students have graduated from CSUSB, including many who work in Southern California and make a major positive impact on the economy. Founded in 1965, CSUSB currently enrolls more than 17, 500 students and employs more than 2, 100 faculty and staff.

The university's programs in computer science, geographic information and decision sciences, psychology, health, kinesiology, English, public administration, accounting and finance, and many others are all highly regarded.

The College of Education now offers the university's first doctoral program, an Ed.D. in educational leadership.

CSUSB's extended education programs in business writing and language skills, technology, entrepreneurship and conference management are some of the state's busiest.

The university's student population is one of the most diverse in California, with a student enrollment so diverse that there is no majority ethnic group on campus.

CSUSB claims the largest indoor campus arena in San Bernardino and Riverside counties (Coussoulis Arena) and a renowned visual arts gallery and museum in the Robert V. Fullerton Art Museum, one among only 4 percent in the United States that are accredited by the American Association of Museums.

Five academic colleges at Cal State San Bernardino offer more than 70 undergraduate degrees, graduate degrees and certificates, giving students the opportunity to find the right major for them. CSUSB also provides access to university degrees, certificate programs, professional development and personal enrichment programs through its College of Extended Learning:

College of Arts and Letters; College of Business and Public Administration; College of Education; College of Natural Sciences; College of Social and Behavioral Sciences; College of Extended Learning.
