Adult Medicine physicians specialize in the primary care of adult patients and often provide diagnostic consultations and expertise in evaluating difficult patient health problems.

Nurse practitioners work in collaborative practice with physicians to provide routine medical care to patients. They are qualified to manage stable yet chronic illnesses, conduct routine physicals and provide patient education. If you prefer, you can see a nurse practitioner for many of your healthcare needs.

Carle Foundation Physicians – Mattoon/Charleston has a registered dietitian on staff who meets with patients to provide nutrition information, diet instruction, weight reduction programs and counseling.

Family Medicine physicians provide primary care services for all members of your family.

Our physicians and nurse practitioners provide gynecologic and medical care for female patients from adolescence through menopause. The nurse practitioner is qualified to conduct routine physicals and provide patient education. If you prefer, you can see the nurse practitioner for many of your healthcare needs.

As doctors with advanced training in the medical needs of children, pediatricians care for patients from birth to age 18.

Psychiatry physicians provide evaluation and treatment of mental health disorders, ranging from basic interpersonal problems to severe psychiatric disorders. Diagnostics may include psychological and neuropsychological testing, as well as comprehensive psychiatric history.
