Castle Medical Center’s $1 million Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory makes state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment conveniently available to Windward residents.

Financed with a $1.5 million grant from the Harold K. L. Castle Foundation, the heart of the new lab is a digital cardiac system with a counterbalanced, ceiling-suspended C-arm that allows the physician complete access to the patient.

The system provides high-resolution digital images that can be stored on CD. It permits the physician to rotate and position equipment, review images, and access analytical programs without leaving the patient’s side.

Castle Medical Center’s Imaging Services offers a complete range of diagnostic and interventional procedures. Our staff of registered radiologic technologists, board-certified radiologists, registered nurses, and business associates are committed to providing the highest-quality and friendliest service to our patients and physicians.

Nuclear Medicine:

Our Philips dual-head gamma camera allows us to perform a full range of nuclear medicine studies.

The camera detects radiation that has been administered to the patient, usually through an IV. The radiation it detects is formed into images that are used to pinpoint abnormal changes in the body caused by disease. It can provide images of many parts of the body, including the heart, bones, biliary tract, thyroid and lungs.
