CEDAR RAPIDS COUNTRY CLUB

Carved from the oak woods lining Indian Creek, the Cedar Rapids Country Club ranks among the Midwest's best private clubs. The tradition began when Cedar Rapids' leading industrialists chose the site for a new club more than 100 years ago. CRCC has remained the area's premier club for golf, dining, business and family activities for more than a century. In 1999, the members invested over $5 million to ensure that the clubhouse, dining and golf facilities remain the best. The renovations have preserved the traditional charm of the original architecture, large rooms, mullioned windows and high ceilings. The remodeling not only retained the stately elegance of the Club but also renovated all dining rooms, lobby areas, locker rooms and the kitchen. The heating, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical services also underwent substantial upgrades during the remodeling to prepare the club for the years to come.

Besides our challenging golf course, our members can use our other fine facilities. On those hot summer days they can take a few laps in our temperature controlled swimming pool. Or, if their back hand needs a little fine tuning they can take a lesson from our tennis professional on one of our seven tennis courts. If they are wanting to tone up their muscles they can use our newly opened fitness center which offers gym equipment for their use. Then after doing any of the activities at the Club, our executive chef is always ready to serve up their favorite entree.

The Golf Shop at CRCC offers the finest equipment from the leaders in the golf industry. Our feature companies are Ping, Callaway, Titleist, Cobra, Odyssey, and Cleveland. Our Professional staff is trained in club fitting which guaranties a "custom fit" set of clubs that fits your swing.

The Golf shop offers the latest in men's and women's apparel and footwear. A wide selection of Polo, Adidas, Nike, Footjoy, and Ashworth are stocked to meet the needs of all golfing demographics

he tennis program at CRCC continues to grow significantly in all respects, defying national trends. The seven courts include three traditional clay courts, popular favorites and some of the few remaining in the state. The three lower courts enjoy amphitheater seating as well as courtside gazebos. The "pro" court is lighted for 24-hour play.

The tennis pro shop offers a fine selection of rackets, clothing and accessories for the tennis enthusiasts. Some of the brands they carry include Prince and Wilson shoes and rackets and LBH and Lily's clothing. They also offer equipment repair for our member's convenience.

The swimming pool at the Cedar Rapids Country Club is both an engineering marvel and a hub of family and social activity. Nestled into a bluff overlooking Indian Creek, it was Iowa's first outdoor pool.
