operates Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

The Baton Rouge Clinic, in partnership with the American Heart Association, is pleased to offer the regional community a comprehensive, cardiovascular wellness and risk reduction clinic. This center was created to fill a vital need – the identification and comprehensive management of the risk factors associated with the development and progression of cardiovascular disease.

Under the guidance and leadership of the Center’s medical director, Dr. David Carmouche, and the staff of well-trained professionals, patients participate in state-of-the-art education, diagnostic evaluations, and individualized management of cardiovascular disease risk factors. The mission of the Center is to prevent heart attack and stroke, empower patients through education, and reduce disparities in cardiovascular disease which is prevalent in the southeastern United States.

Through these efforts, the Baton Rouge Clinic and its Center for Cardiovascular Disease Prevention have been named a “Cardiovascular Center of Excellence” by COSEHC, the Consortium of Southeastern Hypertension Control. This is a professional organization of physicians, scientists, and health care providers whose goal is to reduce heart attack, stroke, renal failure, and congestive heart failure by implementing best care practices and sharing information through electronic medical systems. Our site joins Tulane University as the only COSEHC Cardiovascular Centers of excellence in the state.
