Short profile:

In program year 2008-2009 CET operated training centers providing training and placement services to 5929 individuals in 17 communities across the nation. The great majority of those served included youth and adults with significant employment barriers. Providing job training and placement alternatives to those with multiple barriers, of course, has been the forte of CET since its inception.

Nearly half of the participants served were individuals who dropped out of elementary or high school. The percentage of persons with Limited English Proficiency was 29%. Thos typically served by CET include Public Assistance Recipients, Homeless, At-Risk Youth, Dislocated Workers, Migrant & Seasonal Farm Workers, and other unemployed persons.
