Our mission is to provide our neighbors with the highest-quality cancer care in a caring, compassionate environment.

Since 1978, the board-certified physicians and dedicated staff at Century Medical Associates have offered cancer treatment and hematological services for our community. Our mission is to provide our neighbors with the highest-quality cancer care in a caring, compassionate environment.

Our hematologists-oncologists have a combined 100+ years of experience, and have trained at such well-known cancer centers as Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Strong Memorial Hospital, Harvard Medical Center and Johns Hopkins. Our oncology nurses have years of experience, as well as the understanding and concern necessary to meet the needs of cancer patients and their families.

Detailed description:

Laboratory services are provided to allow our physicians to closely monitor patients. Our laboratory is regulated by CLIA/COLA and has an excellent record of proficiency testing. We are online with Quest labs for additional testing. Century Medical has the capabilities to do bone marrow biopsies and aspirations right in our offices. When appropriate, CBCs are evaluated, peripheral smears are prepared and read, then care is provided.

Our recommendations of care follow NCCN guidelines, which are considered standard of care. These guidelines are developed to be the best possible care as determined through research and patient management. If a clinical trial is a possible option on a patient’s plan of care, the physicians at Century Medical will facilitate his or her participation in available trials.

Our patients come to us for a variety of services, including:

our expertise in medical oncology and hematological malignancies; recommendation and coordination of care following NCCN guidelines, which are considered

standards of care; outpatient administration of chemotherapy and monoclonal antibodies; utilization of growth factors to maximize dosage and maintain schedule; biological modifiers for special tumor types; instruction on self-injection under the watchful eye of our professional staff; referral to appropriate support services such as counseling, nursing agencies, nutritional support and hospice care; radiation therapy, if needed as part of your therapy, can be provided in the same building or via referral to a facility closer to your home. The two main groups we refer to offer a comfortable environment where care is provided by board-certified radiation oncologists; consideration of patient and family needs during this stressful time; continuity of care for our snowbird population.
