Chesapeake Animal Hospital began in 1985 by Dr. Alfred Brooks in a 1, 200 sq. ft. space in a shopping mall. In 1990, he built his current 6, 000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility, winning the Veterinary Economic Merit Award for Hospital Design that same year. This former one-man practice now employs three veterinarians, licensed technicians, assistants, caretakers and groomers. Our goal is to provide quality veterinary care and service along with developing long-term relationships with you and your beloved pet. Our staff is dedicated, compassionate and very professional. Because we have access to referral specialists, if we don’t know the answer we’ll find someone who does!
