Short profile:
At the Chicago Children’s Clinic, we help children and adolescents who have social, developmental, and learning difficulties. We understand the challenges and struggles that children, families, and schools face when dealing with autism, learning disabilities, and a range of other neurobehavioral disorders. Our team of compassionate and skilled clinicians identifies and builds on children’s strengths to help them thrive.
Detailed description:
We know you want the best for your child. If you are concerned about your child's development, school performance, social skills or behavior, the Chicago Children's Clinic can help. The Chicago Children's Clinic provides a full range of services to ensure that children get the best clinical care available.
PRT therapists and parent educators contribute to a coordinated effort by all people who have a stake in the child's success. Parents, nannies, teachers, siblings, grandparents and peers are taught how to have fun interacting effectively with the child as the child with autism makes progress toward identified treatment goals. Not only has PRT shown remarkable success for children, but it helps families as well. Parental stress has been shown to decrease as a result of PRT, as parents become skilled and empowered in bringing about their child's development.
