CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children's Hospital is the first hospital in the region to be entirely dedicated to the care of children, the leading children's hospital in South Texas and the only faith-based, Catholic not-for-profit hospital in San Antonio. Serving more than 150, 000 children each year, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children's Hospital is the only academic Children's hospital in San Antonio. Partnering with the Department of Pediatrics at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and private pediatricians, the Children's Hospital has been providing comprehensive pediatric services at one location since 1959.

From neonatal intensive care to children's emergency services, titanium rib implants, a heart program especially designed for children, and a specialized asthma program, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children's Hospital continues to provide quality, innovative care specifically designed to meet the unique needs of children. More than 800 neonatal and pediatric patients are transferred to our Children's Hospital each year from a 90-county area and more than 50 local and regional hospitals, clinics, and other medical facilities. As a tertiary facility staffed by some of Texas' leading specialists, our Children's Hospital transports and cares for the majority of critical neonates, infants, and children. Helicopters, fixed-wing aircrafts, or ambulances are utilized to facilitate rapid response. Physician consultation and transport teams are available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children's Hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission, the predominant standards-setting and accrediting organization in health care. We are also a member of the Children's Hospital Association of Texas and the National Association of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions. CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children's Hospital is the only recipient of the national Children's Miracle Network for Bexar and surrounding counties.
