CLARKSVILLE-JOHNSON COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Short profile:

the Clarksville Johnson County Chamber of Commerce web site Medical, Educational, and unbelievable scenery

Detailed description:

Spadra Creek, a tributary that runs into the Arkansas River, traverses through the heart of downtown Clarksville and is known for the adjacent walking trail where people walk, run, bicycle, bird watch, and picnic. The Ozark National Forest, and the many lakes, rivers, and streams provide an abundance of opportunities for outdoor activities. Johnson County is branded the “Peach of the Ozarks” and for good reason, the peaches grown here are some of the best in the nation. In mid July families flock to Johnson County for the most delectable peaches they have ever tasted.

To help accomplish these goals, the Chamber serves both as a spokesman and an advocate for its members, and for the area as a whole.

While the Chamber is dedicated primarily to improving social, civic, physical, and human resources, its concerns are the overall development of Johnson County.
