COASTAL COMMUNITIES HOSPITAL

Short profile:

Coastal Communities Hospital opened it's doors to the community in 1973. Since that time many changes have occurred, but one fact has remained: our dedication to providing the high quality care to our patients and to meet the needs of the community. Coastal Communities is a 178-bed acute care hospital. The hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, licensed by the State of California and approved for the acceptance of Medicare patients.

Detailed description:

Coastal Communities Hospital seeks to deliver safe, high quality services that exceed the expectations of our patients, physicians, payors, employers, employees and the community it serves.

Medical emergencies happen when you least expect. That's why it's important to be prepared and know where to go: Coastal Communities Hospital's 24-Hour Emergency Room.

Whether it's a minor scrape or major injury, Coastal's emergency room is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our team of physicians and nurses are specially trained in emergency medicine, which means they are ready to treat just about any medical emergency.

Our emergency room is equipped with some of the most advanced technology available for diagnostics and treatment. We offer a comprehensive on-site laboratory, radiology department, and more. And, of course, you have the wide range of services offered at Coastal Communities Hospital if further treatment is needed.

Coastal's ER is a receiving center for patients of all ages.

The Bridges for Newborns program at Coastal Communities Hospital is one of four Early Action programs developed by the Children and Families Commission to improve the health and welfare of children in Orange County.

Through the Bridges for Newborns program, we may assist your family in a variety of ways. Our coordinator is available to help identify health insurance coverage options for your newborn, as well as pediatricians and other community resources to help provide the care.

Our coordinator will follow-up with your family to ensure well-baby check-ups and immunizations are completed in the early months and that you are linked to on-going primary care.

At Coastal Communities Hospital, we know that going through a series of diagnostic tests can be overwhelming. That's why when you come to Coastal for your tests, we hope you'll find that we've made the process and environment as easy and as comfortable as possible.
