Columbian is in compliance with the FDA, and the Preparedness and Response Act of 2002 (the Bioterrorism Act) in regards to food security. They have implemented standard operating procedures (SOPs) that address any reasonable issue that may pose harm to consumers. The American Institute of Baking (AIB) conducts an annual comprehensive audit of each of our facilities. Topics audited are:

All food grade facilities within Columbian have integrated pest management services contracted through Ecolab. These services are conducted on a weekly basis and can be tailored to meet your specific needs.

Columbian utilizes Continuous Improvement Software (CIS) to maintain a high level of quality. This is a web based integrated solution that provides consistent resolutions to elements of managing our quality system. The coordination of the CIS program, along with the Corporate Quality Manual are used as the basis for Standard Operating Procedures and Nonconformity circumstances.

In addition to providing general and dedicated facilities, Columbian has temperature controlled and food grade warehousing services. Columbian can handle your food ingredients and finished good products in one of our A.I.B. Superior rated warehouses. By utilizing A.I.B., an independent auditor and inspector of food grade processes; it enables us to strengthen our reputation in the industry.
