Most acupuncturists in the US treat patients on tables in private rooms. This is not traditional in China where acupuncture usually occurs in a community setting. In a community setting, we treat patients in recliners in a quiet, soothing common room. This more traditional style of acupuncture allows us to see more patients therefore, lowering the cost of treatment. Great care is taken to protect each patients privacy in this environment.

The Chinese have been using herbs for medicinal purposes for thousands of years. Herbs are prescribed by the practitioner based on the individual's TCM (traditional chinese medicine) diagnosis. This means that the herbs are designed to treat both the symptoms and the root cause. Herbs may be prescibed in tea pills, powders (in capsule form), or raw. Our clinic mostly uses capsules. Chinese herbs work in combination with acupuncture to provide optimal treatment for the patient.

The ion cleanse is a soothing footbath that removes a variety of toxins from different organs in the body.

Water is broken down into hydrogen and oxygen ions within the water bath. These ions move through the body and neutralize oppositely charged ions of the toxins. The formed particles are then removed through osmosis through the part of the body that is in contact with the water - in this case, the feet.
