Cooper Spa opened in McKinney in 2006, offering luxurious skin and body treatments for men and women. While located inside Cooper Fitness Center, Cooper Spa’s services and retail boutique is open to the public seven days a week.

In 1970, Kenneth H. Cooper, M.D., M.P.H., founded The Cooper Institute, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preventive medicine research and education. The Cooper Center Longitudinal Study (CCLS), made up of nearly 100, 000 patients’ data records is a highly-referenced database on exercise and health throughout the world. This database will become even more vital to the world’s health with the inclusion of genetic data from an in-house blood bank. With over 600 peer-reviewed publications and intervention programs, The Cooper Institute is a world-wide leader in preventive medicine research and education including: Clinical studies on the management of chronic conditions including obesity, hypertension and diabetes. Research on physical activity and its effects on morbidity and mortality as well as chronic disease prevention. Collaborative research initiatives with major medical institutions that include preventive medicine research in genetics, nutrition, cardiovascular disease, mental function and healthy brain aging, and cancer.
